Short answer

Drag a window to the left or right edge to fill half the screen, to a corner for a quarter, or to the top to fill it. Tuno shows where it will land before you let go, and adds shortcuts for halves, thirds and two-thirds.

In macOS

macOS 15 and later can tile windows by dragging them to an edge or from Window › Move & Resize. It has no thirds, no “double-click to fill and restore”, and the shortcuts are limited.

With Tuno

  1. 1

    Open Tuno and allow Accessibility.

  2. 2

Drag a window by its title bar toward an edge. Faint lines show where you can drop it.

  3. 3

At an edge or corner, a frame shows the area; release to snap.

  4. 4

    Shortcuts: ⌃⌥⌘← → for halves, ↑ to fill, ↓ to center, D F G for thirds, E T for two-thirds.

macOS 15 or later, Mac with Apple silicon.

Frequently asked questions

Can I double-click the title bar to maximize?

Yes. Double-click a title bar to fill the screen; double-click again to restore the previous size.

Does it conflict with macOS tiling?

No. While Tuno’s snapping is on, macOS’s edge tiling is turned off, and it’s restored when you turn Tuno’s off.
